Maxx Tissenbaum - Jr. - Stonybrook University - NCAA Division 1![]() Maxx Tissenbaum, who played with the Toronto Mets from 2007-2009 is entering his Junior Year at Stonybrook University as is on his way to being one of the most accomplished Seawolves in their history. The Seawolves play in the NCAA Division 1 in the American East Conference. Maxx has played a key role on that team since going to the Long Island suburb in the fall of 2009. He has become one of the leaders both on an off the team. Maxx still finds time in the summer months to lend his time not only to the younger Toronto Mets but also to his minor baseball association, North York Blues Some of Maxx's acheivements

Jordan Glover - Jr. - RHP - Eastern Michigan University - NCAA Division 1Jordan was a Toronto Met from 2008-2009 and is currently entering his Junior year at Eastern Michigan Unversity. Glover has polayed a key role in the Eagles roation and bullpen over the last two years and looks to have an even more prominent role in 2012. Glover has also pitched in one of the premier College Summer Leagues the last two summers (Coastal Plains League). Glover had a 5-1 record in 2011, making 7 starts while holding opponents to a .220 batting average. Trevor Edwards - So. - UNC Greensboro - NCAA Division 1![]() Trevor is heading into his redshirt Sophomore year at UNC Greensboro. In his freshman season, Trevor started 37 games for the D1 Spartans and tied for the team lead in Home Runs. Edwards played summer baseball for the Alexandria Beetles of the Northwoods Collegiate Baseball League. Nick Studer - SO. - Skagit Valley Community College - NJCCA Division 1![]() Nick Studer is entering his Sophomore season at Skagit Valley Junior College as a 1st year player. Nick attended Western Texas Junior College in 2010. Skagit Valley is based out of Washington State. Nick has come a long way since playing Pee Wee Houseleague Baseball for Mets 16U coach Honsing Leung. Not only was he a draft pick of the Toronto Blue Jays, but Nick changed positions during his 17U year from 1B to C. Studer made the Ontario Youth Team that year (Along with Mets Alumni Brian Smith and Michael Foster) and helped the province win a bronze medal. Alex Guptill - FR. - University of Michigan - NCAA Division 1 - Hockey![]() Alex enters his Freshman season at the University of Michigan on a hockey scholarship after spending the last couple of seasons playing Junior A as well as USHL hockey. While he would have had a promising future in baseball, he was also a very skilled hockey player. Good enough to be drafted in the 6th round of the OHL entry draft as well as in the 3rd round of the NHL entry draft by the Dallas Stars Guptill was a Toronto Met in 2008 as a member of the 16U team and led the team in hits, 2Bs and Rbi's. He also hit .316. Alex still visits and helps with the Mets during the summer when time allows. Good luck Connor Panas - FR. - Canisius College - NCAA Division 1Connor Panas played with the Mets from 2009-2011, following in brother Ryan's footsteps. He is entering his first year as a Golden Griffin and will be fighting for a starting spot on the team. Connor played a big role while with the Mets as one of it's best hitters from the time he entered the program. He was a Toronto Star High School All-Star and helped the North York Blues to a silver medal at the Bantam National Championships in 2008 Michael Foster - FR. - Northeastern University - NCAA Division 1![]() Michael spent 2+ seasons with the Mets and accomplished many things in his time here. Joined in 2009, Foster went on to represent both Ontario at the Canada Cup as well as spend some time as part of the Canadian National Junior Program. Michael is currently a freshman at Northeastern University where former Mets Alumni and current Toronto Blue Jays RHP Les Williams spent 4 years. From Catcher to Rightfield to Third Base to First Base, Gabe did it all. He is into his Freshman fall season at UBC and has claimed some extended playing time due to injuries and has made the most of his opportunities by swinging the bat really well. |
